Aspire Medical Staffing is seeking Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to join our team at the Bob Stump Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and associated clinics.

Medical Mobile Services Locations:

  • Chinle VA Clinic: 5 days a week
  • Kayenta VA Clinic: 3 days a week
  • Page VA Clinic: 2 days a week
  • Polacca/Hopi Clinic: 3 days a week
  • Tuba City VA Clinic: 2 days a week

Job Responsibilities

Be responsible for a full range of diagnostic examinations and independent development of comprehensive treatment plans for all Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-current edition) diagnoses, International Classification of Diseases diagnoses, and a range of medical diagnoses.
Provide clinical emergency and acute triage services for patients presenting with suicidal/homicidal risk, psychotic symptoms, and other disabling psychopathology.
Provide a range of independent psychiatric evaluations from multiple referral sources which may involve determinations of fitness/suitability for duty.
Determine the need for treatment and develop multidisciplinary treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and in consultation with other Mental Health, medical and base helping agency staff.
Participate in peer review and performance improvement projects.

Qualifications

Possess a minimum of two years experience as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Education: Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is
accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation
Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
(CCNE).
Certification: Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized
national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example,
National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association,
National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).
Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
Degree: Master's degree in nursing.
