Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic mental health care team. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of psychiatric disorders and demonstrate a genuine passion for patient-centered care. This role involves collaborating with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive mental health services, including diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and follow-up care.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, psychosocial assessment, and diagnosis.

Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the psychiatric team, tailored to individual patient needs.

Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.

Provide crisis intervention services as needed.

Offer psychoeducation to patients and their families to enhance understanding of psychiatric conditions and treatment options.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Stay informed on the latest advancements in psychiatric care and integrate evidence-based practices into patient treatment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

DNP (Preferred) or MS degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program, with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health.
2 years PMHNP experience

Valid Nurse Practitioner license and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification in Minnesota.

Exceptional clinical skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
