Upperline Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support our Winter Park and Daytona Beach Vein Clinics. Under the responsibility and supervision of the physician(s), the Nurse Practitioner will perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physicians to extend services through the most effective methods available to assure quality patient outcomes. The Nurse Practitioner assists the physician(s) with in-clinic pre/post-operative care of patients and work with the physician in the sphere of decision making required to establish a diagnosis and to plan therapy. They may assist in gathering the data necessary in implementing the therapeutic plan of the surgeon.

This position will travel between our Daytona Beach and Winter Park Vein Clinics.

Job Responsibilities

Assist the doctor in the preoperative care and work-up of patients to include:

Perform and record history and physical examination.
Write routine diagnostic orders.
Educate patients on signs and symptoms of venous insufficiency, procedures and non-invasive treatments.
Write routine pre-operative orders directed by the doctor.
Complete informative discussion with patient and family regarding the planned procedure.
Obtain patients signature on consent form for procedures to be performed by the doctor.

Qualifications

Master of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required; Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program; Must be board certified as an adult or family Nurse Practitioner by an advanced practice certifying body.
Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a registered nurse and an advanced practice nurse
Minimum of two years' experience working as a Nurse Practitioner.
Must be currently certified in both basic and advanced cardiac life support.
Cardiology or vascular experience highly preferred.
Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athenahealth.

Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm ET
