A leading pediatric healthcare facility in Yonkers, NY, is currently seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join their team on a full-time night shift. This role provides an excellent opportunity to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to children with complex medical needs.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: 12 hour Night Shift
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Salary Range: $130K - $143K per year

Responsibilities:

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:

  • Conducting clinical evaluations for residents with acute illnesses or changes in condition
  • Providing medical care for chronic issues and prescribing necessary medications
  • Responding to emergency situations for residents and staff
  • Addressing abnormal laboratory results and developing appropriate care plans
  • Coordinating and arranging transfers to acute care facilities when necessary
  • Maintaining thorough documentation, including history, physical exams, assessments, and care plans
  • Utilizing electronic medical records for documentation and orders
  • Conducting rounds to ensure residents receive appropriate care and oversight
  • Partnering with nurse supervisors to educate, guide, and support nursing staff
  • Communicating with parents, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience: Minimum of two years of pediatric experience
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program with a B.S.N. & M.S.N.
  • Certifications:
    • N.P. Board Certification
    • Active RN & NP Licenses in the State of New York
    • BCLS Certification
    • DEA Certification
    • Completion of state-mandated courses (Infection Control, Child Abuse Prevention)

Preferred:

    • Critical care experience
    • PALS certification
