ECU Health Physicians and Carteret Health Care are partnering together to expand and are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care or Physician Assistant for a unique role providing care for newborn infants and pediatric patients, at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, NC with a monthly on-site rotation at ECU Health Maynard Children's Hospital in Greenville, NC for high-risk resuscitation skills and competency maintenance.

- Hospital privileges at Carteret Hospital and the ECU Health Maynard Children’s Hospital
- Support and continuous competency training provided by Maynard Children’s Hospital at ECU Health Medical Center
- Average of 12 x 24 hour shifts per month with return to the Children's Hospital for continued competency for an average of 24 hours per quarter
- Clinical responsibilities when providing coverage will include rounding and coordination of care from admission to discharge for all newborn patients and attendance all at risk deliveries and participation in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates as needed
- Transfer support provided by ECU Health Medical Center

Job Requirements include:
- Experienced PNP-AC or Physician Assistant- At least 2 years of NICU Experience
- NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician Assistant
- National Board Certification as a Pediatric NP-AC, or as PA required, including maintenance
- 2+ years of experience in health care setting
- Applicants will be required to have BLS certification from The American Heart Association
