Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner with Pediatric Experience

Location: Sunshine Pediatrics, Silver Spring, Maryland

Job Description:

Sunshine Pediatrics, a well-established and family-oriented pediatric practice located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with pediatric experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, providing comprehensive care to children from newborns to age 22.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality primary care to pediatric patients, including well-child exams, sick visits, and management of chronic conditions.
• Comfortable seeing patients ranging from newborns to 22 years old.
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care.
• Manage and treat behavioral health issues, including ADHD.
• Collaborate with support staff, including medical assistants, to ensure patient care is efficient and thorough.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient visits and communications.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
• Minimum of one post-graduate year of experience in Pediatrics, either in a pediatric or family practice setting.
• Strong clinical skills in pediatric primary care, including experience with behavioral health and ADHD management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to pediatric patients.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 5:00 PM
• Closed for lunch from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
• No evenings or weekends required.
