Details of Position:

This position is in a private practice office setting with clinical hours of M- Th 8:30 - 5. Friday may be used for administrative catch-up in the office or remotely as needed. The patient load is approximately 3 follow-ups per hour with an average of 22 patients per day (4 days per week). eClinical Works EMR.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the physician, provides direct patient care including gathering detailed history and performing physical exams

  • Performs and orders tests and interprets results

  • Administers therapeutic procedures as directed

  • Instructs on care and maintains charts and records on patients within EMR (eClinical Works)

  • Evaluates interventional pain procedures and other modalities for optimal patient outcomes

  • Prepares prescription orders for medications and controlled substances when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing with an active and unrestricted Texas license Nurse Practitioner Licensure with the Texas Medical Board

  • Graduate of an Accredited NP program

  • Recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse (NP)

  • Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas, DEA-eligible

  • BLS, ACLS
