Job Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified Dental Hygienist to join the team at Tabor Correctional Institution in Tabor City, NC, on a locum tenens basis. This position offers up to 40 hours per week, with shifts Monday through Thursday. The Dental Hygienist will provide services under the clinical supervision of the Correctional Dental Director/Designee. Duties include preparing the clinic for treatment, documenting care, performing prophylaxis and polishing, taking diagnostic-quality radiographs, and providing oral hygiene instructions. The role also includes sterilizing instruments, maintaining infection control protocols, submitting reports and timesheets, and maintaining professional communication with staff.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist in North Carolina
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
• Ability to cooperate and interact positively with staff
