This is an Orthopedic NP/PA locums to perm position with Boone Memorial Hospital in Madison, WV. If you are interested in being considered for this opportunity apply or contact me directly.

● Clinic hours, 8 to 4. 8 to 5 8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday.
● Expected volumes up to 16 to 20 in a day.
● Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety in the
operating room.
● Collaborate with the orthopedic surgeon and interdisciplinary team to develop and
implement treatment plans.
● Provide patient education and support, addressing questions and concerns related to
orthopedic conditions and treatments.
● Manage patient care independently during periods when the surgeon is off-campus,
maintaining open communication and consulting with the surgeon as needed.
● Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to discuss patient cases and
optimize care delivery.
● Contribute to the advancement of orthopedic practice through participation in quality
improvement initiatives and research projects.
Requirements
● Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
● Certification as an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner (ONP-C) or Orthopedic Physician
Assistant (PA-C) preferred.
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in orthopedics, with proficiency in both surgical and
non-surgical management of orthopedic conditions.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
● Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments in a fast-
paced environment.
● Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patient care needs, including inpatient consult
● Valid West Virginia state medical license or IMLC letter of Qualification. (will you wait for
a license?)
