Schedule
- Preferred Schedule: FT / 40hrs per week (Mon-Fri; 8hr shifts, flexible hours)
- Clinic is 8 am to 12 pm and 1pm to 5pm with the patients seen as noted
Clinical Details
- Worksite Setting: Outpatient
- Type of patients: Gynecology oncology patients
- Daily job duties and scope of work: APP will see the patient and do the H & P, place orders, and follow-up labs, phone calls, etc. Will also respond to emergencies in the infusion center as needed
- There are 3 attendings and they all see different volumes
- Typical patient load could be 10-20 per day and often times more like 8-14
- Staff: 3 MDs, 1 APP, 3RNs, 2 MAs, 1 NA
- Example of duties: Help to manage a large panel of patients on active chemotherapy, Performing chemotherapy clearance evaluations, assessing toxicity, adjusting/signing chemotherapy plans accordingly, Provide surveillance for gynecologic malignancy (if trained in Women’s Health), Assess postoperative patients, Triage patient calls and evaluate patients same-day, if needed, Takes medical histories, examines patients, orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests; formulates diagnoses and treatment plans as appropriate, and prescribes medications and monitors responses to medications and adjusting accordingly
Requirements
- Active CT License
- Board Certified
- PA accreditation or the APRN must hold certification as either an ACNP, FNP, or AGACNP
- DEA, CSR, BLS
- Oncology certification - Preferred
- Chemotherapy/immunotherapy experience
- Women’s health experience - Preferred
- 2+ years exp GYN/ONC - Preferred
