Job Title: Permanent NP/PA - Oncology

Join a dedicated team at a 127-bed Level III Trauma hospital located in Coos Bay, Oregon. Serving as the largest medical facility on the Southern Coast, this hospital is committed to providing exceptional care to a community with a catchment area of over 320,000. You will be an integral part of a collaborative and growing Oncology service line, offering a range of specialized cancer care services in an advanced and supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full-time, day shift with a schedule of four ten-hour shifts; no nights or weekends.
  • Participate in shared paid on-call duties.
  • Primarily outpatient care with occasional inpatient consults.
  • Work at the Bay Area Hospital Cancer Center, affiliated with Oregon Health & Sciences University.
  • Offer a variety of services, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and support services.
  • Collaborate with a high-caliber, collegiate nurse infusion team.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills within a clinical patient care team.
  • Engage in direct patient care and manage oncology cases with diligence and compassion.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified NP or PA (required).
  • AONCP certification (or in progress) for NP candidates (required).
  • PA Oncology Subspecialty/Additional Oncology Training is highly preferred for PA candidates.
  • Oregon state license or willingness to obtain (required).
  • Experience practicing as an Oncology NP/PA in inpatient and/or outpatient settings is preferred.
  • Strong clinical acumen and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using software interfaces, such as EPIC.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Oregon state license (required).
  • Board Certification as an NP or PA (required).
  • AONCP certification (or in progress) is required for NP candidates.
