We are hiring an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a Full-Time Permanent Outpatient Opportunity in Beautiful Southern, Tennessee!

We are seeking a provider who ideally has 5+ years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting, and 1 year of experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner.

This NP functions as an independent healthcare provider who is responsible for providing comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in a primarily outpatient setting. This provider will demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with Patients with Acute and Chronic Illnesses, specifically patients with cancer.

Schedule: M-F daytime schedule from 8am - 4:30pm. No Weekends, No Call!

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of Cancer patients with Acute, chronic and/or both health problems.
  • Establish Medical Diagnosis, give counsel to patients of cancer by offering diverse treatment options and informing the patients on the treatment procedures. This is to help their expectations of the days ahead.
  • Identify and promote treatment for health related cases concerning cancer.
  • Offering emotional Assistance to patients of cancer as well as their families by engaging in constant updates on diverse assistant units which can be readily obtained at the patients disposal.
  • Provide helpful resources on the patient and patient's families to enhance positive results
  • Oversee treatment infusions and supportive care needs
  • Write specific orders within the limits of the NP scope of practice
  • Will take consultation calls when needed.
