Position: Locum NP - Surgical Oncology
Location: Teaneck, New Jersey
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive surgical oncology care to patients, including pre-operative assessments, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative management.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, oncologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Perform patient education regarding surgical procedures, treatment plans, and post-operative care instructions.
Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
Assist in conducting rounds, assessing patient progress, and managing acute surgical issues as they arise.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree with a focus on Surgical Oncology.
Board certification in Surgical Oncology or relevant specialty.
Valid New Jersey NP license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Surgical Oncology preferred.
Proficiency in surgical oncology procedures and protocols.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
