The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for managing and improving the health and safety of employees. This role involves conducting health assessments, providing emergency care, developing health programs, and collaborating with management to enhance workplace safety.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement workplace health and safety programs.
Provide emergency care and first aid to employees who are injured or fall ill at work.
Advise management on policies and programs to improve workplace health and safety.
Educate employees on health, safety, and wellness topics, such as stress management and ergonomics.
Coordinate health promotion activities, such as health screenings and immunization clinics.
Work with other healthcare professionals and safety specialists to manage employee health issues.
Monitor and manage the health status of workers returning to work after illness or injury.
Advocate for employees’ rights to safe and healthy work environments.
Keep detailed records of employee health assessments and treatments.
Qualifications
Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in KY.
Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational health or a related field.
Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
