Job Summary:
Performs physical exams and comprehensive health assessments, records medical histories, conducts selective diagnostic tests and interprets clinical findings. Provides diagnosis, medical consultation and basic healthcare treatment to employees within the organization. Works in collaboration with other healthcare providers in determining right treatment options.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
- Two years' technical experience in related field: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in state of practice: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice: Required
Essential Functions:
- Develops and implements health promotion, illness/injury prevention and therapeutic plans congruent with the client’s diagnosis, health problem, or need. Acts as a liaison by relaying information necessary for continuity of care to other health professionals and agencies.
- Initiates treatment for patients with commonly occurring health problems which lie within the nurse practitioner's scope of practice, by using a systematic approach to history and physical appraisal of patients and/or families through clinical judgment of evaluated data. Prescribes medications in accordance with state regulatory acts. Assists with providing select onsite immunizations and screenings.
- Provides anticipatory guidance, screening and health education to patients to promote and maintain health. Monitors patients with stabilized long-term or chronic illness, and aids and supports individuals and their families.
- Assists in developing and implementing onsite educational programs including obesity treatment, smoking cessation, etc. Educates patients/employees about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Refers injured employees to approved workers' compensation physicians for treatment and monitoring.
- Develops or leads training sessions on topics such as infectious diseases, chemical exposure and the use of personal protective equipment. Documents training efforts and evaluates effectiveness of programs by administering post-training assessments. Assists the organization with enhancing employee awareness on the importance of health. Participates in Quality Assurance (QA) activities.

The estimated base pay for this position is $132,384 to $198,577. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
