A health services organization in Pennsylvania is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing Perinatal Newborn Unit at a hospital in Philadelphia.

About the Opportunity:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Shifts: 8 to 16 hours per shift
  • Department: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Patient Volume: 15 to 20 newborn infants daily

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to newborn infants in a Perinatal Newborn Unit
  • Perform newborn evaluations, medical assessments, and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with Physicians, Pediatric Residents, and the Healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Document patient encounters accurately in Cerner EMR for inpatient and outpatient units
  • Perform procedures within the NP scope of practice, including but not limited to newborn resuscitation, stabilization, and monitoring
  • Participate in daily rounds and communicate effectively with families regarding patient care

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Pediatric or Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience working in a Perinatal Newborn Unit
  • Demonstrated competency in Neonatal Evaluation and Management
  • Proficiency in Newborn Resuscitation and Stabilization
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
