Job Title: Locum to Perm - NP/PA - Neurology

Location: Toledo, Ohio

Facility Overview:

With an average of 10 patients in the Neuro ICU and a collaborative environment of advanced practice providers and specialists, this hospital-based practice is positioned to make a significant impact in the lives of adult trauma patients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide neurology coverage for patients in a fast-paced neuro ICU environment.
• Conduct nighttime consultations for neurosurgical cases.
• Collaborate with available neuro intensivists through phone consultations.
• Utilize Epic as the primary documentation system while managing patient care.
• Ensure high-quality care for a trauma and stroke patient population, averaging a 10-patient census per locum.
• Participate in patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in neurology as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (CNP) licensed in Ohio.
• Active Ohio license, or a willingness to obtain one.
• BLS and ACLS certification are required.
• ENLS certification is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in covering a neuro ICU in a level 1 trauma center, specifically working with stroke patients.
• Ability to manage a 16-bed neuro ICU at night, including nocturnal neurosurgical consults.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Ohio medical license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
