Locum - Neurology - NP / PA

Job Title: Locum NP/PA - Neurology

Join a dynamic healthcare team at a renowned hospital-based practice in Toledo, Ohio, offering coverage in critical care neurology. This opportunity is designed for professionals ready to step into a vital role covering for a vacancy in a level 1 trauma center. The assignment will begin in August 2025 and continue through February/March 2026. You'll have the chance to work alongside experienced neuro intensivists, manage adult patient populations, and engage in comprehensive stroke care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide care to adult patients in a Neuro ICU setting.
• Manage a typical census of 10 patients in the Neuro ICU, with an average of 5 neurosurgery consults at night.
• Collaborate with 2 neuro intensivists available for phone support during the night shifts.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and EMR processes.
• Participate actively in 12-hour night shifts, covering 7 on 7 off or alternating shifts.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible (PA or CNP licensed in Ohio) - REQUIRED
• Active Ohio license (candidates willing to obtain one are accepted) - REQUIRED
• BLS and ACLS certifications - REQUIRED
• ENLS certification - Highly preferred
• Experience working with stroke patients and managing a Neuro ICU at a level 1 trauma center - REQUIRED
• Capable of covering neurosurgical consults at night - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Ohio NP/PA License
• BLS and ACLS Certifications
• ENLS Certification is highly preferred
