We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide inpatient coverage for our newly opened Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) newborn nursery. The provider will be responsible for rounding on newborns in the morning and taking call throughout the shift. This position requires in-house 12-hour call coverage.
  • Provide comprehensive neonatal care in the inpatient setting.
  • Round on newborns in the nursery and attend deliveries as needed.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses.
  • Respond to on-call emergencies with a required 30-minute response time.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system.
  • Supervise and support two Advanced Practice Providers (PAs/NPs).

Job Responsibilities

Previous inpatient neonatal experience preferred.

Qualifications

Must hold an active Arizona Nurse Practitioner license (IMLC not accepted).
Board Certification in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner required.
Certifications required: ABLS, ACLS, BLS, NRP.
Must meet credentialing requirements (estimated 45-day processing time).
Previous inpatient neonatal experience preferred.

Working Hours

Shifts: 12-hour in-house call shifts (5:30 PM – 5:30 AM).
Dates: March 11 - March 18, 2025.
Patients Per Shift: 1-6.
Practice Setting: Inpatient, some telehealth responsibilities.

Skills

Expertise in neonatal resuscitation and newborn stabilization.
Ability to work independently and make critical care decisions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in Epic EMR documentation.
