• NICU Level III
• Number of Exam Rooms: 16 bed unit
• Average Number of Admissions Per Day: 0-2 average per shift
• Total Number of Beds: 16 bed NICU unit coverage with coverage for well baby problems only during nightshift
• Required to Attend C-Sections and cover the Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: 8-9

• Requirements

• Board Certified - Neonatology/experienced NICU PA
• Active NY License
• Must have experience and be comfortable managing patients independently
• Neonatal Required Procedures: Nursery Level III/NICU, Ventilation Management, Invasive (ETT), Non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP), Chest Tube Insertion, Exchange Transfusions, UAC/UVC placement, LPs, Evaluation & Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues, Insertion of Central Line, Insertion of Arterial Line, Diagnostic/Therapeutic Taps

• Support Staff

• Will be responsible for Supervising Other Health Care Providers: RNs in the NICU and other ancillary staff as needed, but no other NNPs
• Neonatologists in Group: 3
• Only pediatricians are current neonatologists
• Pediatric Mid-Levels in Group: 6 plus 1 per diem
• Neonatologist present during the day and on call available 24 hours otherwise
