Coverage will be at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center but the providers will be working at Providence Portland Medical Center as well. Both are a level 3 NICU. PSVMC has the more smaller and sicker patients so is a little bit more intensive than PPMC.
In hospital work 12 or 24 hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7am-7am).
PPMC is usually a 24hr shift as it is less intensive but either one will be ok to pick up.
There are 13 NNP's they work for Providence Medical Group. Neonatal physicians are contracted so they don't work for them but partner with them.
NNP has patients on their service but are a lot of unit-based support, attend deliveries and do all procedures. Physicians do the daily check ins with patients.
There is an office at both site for them to use after hours and during the day.
Delivery room volume is high so experience with this type of work is preferred.
- St. Vincent volume: 3,000
- Providence Portland Medical Center volume: 4,500
PPD:
PPMC - 10
PSV- 22
