Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized care in our Perinatal Newborn Nursery. This opportunity is for FMLA coverage during the specified dates.

Position Details

• Coverage Dates:
  • 9/23/2024 – 9/27/2024
  • 9/30/2024 – 10/4/2024
  • 10/21/2024 – 10/25/2024
  • 10/28/2024 – 11/1/2024
• Schedule:
  • Unit operates 24/7
  • Shifts vary between 8–16 hours
  • Priority for weekday (Monday–Friday) coverage; weekend availability is acceptable
• Patient Load: 15–20 newborn infants per day

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for newborns in the Perinatal Newborn Nursery
• Collaborate with physicians during weekdays and with physicians and pediatric residents on weekends
• Evaluate and manage newborn medical conditions

Qualifications

• Licensure: Must hold valid certification as a Pediatric or Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner
• Experience:
  • Required: Experience working in a perinatal newborn unit and managing newborn care
  • Preferred: Skills in phlebotomy for newborns
