All of this is in hospital work 12- or 24-hour shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm or 7:00am – 7:00am). PPMC is usually a 24hr shift as it is less intensive but either one will be ok to pick up.
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Ongoing
TARGET START DATE: Jan 1, 2025
Coverage will be at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, but the providers will be working at Providence Portland Medical Center as well. Both are a level 3 NICU. PSVMC has the smaller and sicker patients so is a little bit more intensive than PPMC.
They would prefer local candidates as they do prefer to plug in candidates where they can as it is sometimes hard for them to work to give locums multiple days in a row. Preference is to post schedule and see what providers can pick up. If they do end up with a candidate that is traveling, they will try to give more shifts in a row to help with travel costs.
There are 13 NNP’s they work for Providence Medical Group. Neonatal physicians are contracted so they don’t work for them but partner with them. NNP has patients on their service but are a lot of unit-based support, attend deliveries and do all procedures. Physicians do the daily check ins with patients.
