Job Title: Permanent Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

Our facility, a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence, boasts a state-of-the-art Level-III NICU within the only dedicated pediatric hospital in central and south Georgia. Experience the pride of working in a brand new Children's Hospital, opened in 2019.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care in a 66-bed, state-of-the-art Level-III NICU.
• Facilitate high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and brain cooling.
• Engage with readily available subspecialty support.
• Work variable shifts including 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday and 8-hour shifts on weekends.
• Cover 16-hour night shifts for 4 days each week with no call responsibility.
• Collaborate closely with an experienced team of Neonatologists and NNPs.
• Enjoy the opportunity for a clinical appointment with Mercer Medical School.
• Deliver exceptional patient care in a designated Level-I trauma center.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
• 2+ years of current employment experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
• Board Certified NNP; other NP certifications such as FNP or PNP are not accepted.
• Ability to obtain a Georgia nursing license (if not currently held).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing - REQUIRED
• APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP - REQUIRED
• Georgia License (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
