Join Our Team as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Tallahassee, FL!

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to become part of a well-established practice with over 30 years of service at a premier Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Tallahassee. Our facility stands out as the only designated Level-III NICU in the area, capable of handling high-risk mothers and critically ill newborns. The practice is rich in multidisciplinary collaboration, with a team that includes neonatologists, pediatric intensivists, and hospitalists dedicated to providing family-centered care. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care in a Level-III NICU with 34 beds and an average daily census of 25.
  • Engage collaboratively in a multi-specialty environment with neonatology and pediatric specialists.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of care for critically ill infants.
  • Work various shifts, including 8-hour and 24-hour schedules.
  • Conduct patient transports alongside a neonatal nurse and respiratory therapist from regional hospitals.
  • Commit to maintaining a professional, family-centered healthcare experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree (minimum) and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
  • Board Certification in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
  • Current 2+ years of clinical experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
  • Stable employment history with comprehensive clinical skills.
  • Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.

License and Certification Requirements

  • Current Florida Nursing License (or willingness to obtain).
  • DEA certification to be acquired prior to start date.
  • Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is mandatory (FNP or PNP certifications cannot be accepted).
