  • The NICU has approximately 320 admissions and 1900 births annually, with an average daily census of 10
  • NNPs work in our 16-suite, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and will also help with covering the newborn nursery
  • NNPs provide 20 hours per day of shift coverage, in collaboration with the Neonatologists who provide in-house daytime coverage and back-up call from home at night.
  • Candidates must be NNP Board Certified (cannot accept FNP, PNP, or any other NP certifications)
  • Not accepting new graduate candidates - Current 2+ years of employment experience as NNP (not including RN experience) is required

Qualifications

Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing - REQUIRED
Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP - REQUIRED
NC license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
Current 2+ years of employment experience as NNP (not including RN experience) - REQUIRED

Working Hours

20 hours per day of shift coverage, in collaboration with the Neonatologists who provide in-house daytime coverage and back-up call from home at night.
