Permanent Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

Join a dedicated team at a premier facility in Dallas, Texas, specializing in high-quality care for neonates and their families. This Trauma Level I designated facility, renowned for its diverse healthcare legacy spanning over 125 years, offers a dynamic and rewarding environment for healthcare professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide care for 8-10 patients per day and 20-30 patients per night during 12- and 24-hour shifts
• Perform medical procedures and attend high-risk deliveries
• Collaborate with a team of 3-4 NNPs, Residents, Fellows, and Neonatologists during night shifts
• Participate in inpatient rounds and manage care within the NICU setting
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC EMR system
• Contribute to staffing needs due to shortage during weekends (72 hours required in a 6-week schedule)
• Ensure a quick start by being able to jump in immediately upon joining
• Uphold high standards of care recognized by the medical staff

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
• 3+ years of Level 3 and/or Level 4 NICU experience as an RN and/or NP
• Texas state license (or willingness to obtain)
• BLS and NRP certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Clean malpractice and license history
• COVID-19 vaccinated
• Open to experienced and newly graduated NNPs

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid TX RN license or willingness to obtain
• Board Certification in Neonatology
• BLS & NRP certifications
• Clean malpractice record
• COVID-19 vaccination
