A well-respected healthcare system in Portland, Oregon, is seeking two experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) for locum tenens coverage in their Level III NICUs. This ongoing position begins on January 1, 2025, and offers flexible scheduling. The facilities see both high-acuity and larger delivery volumes, providing a range of neonatal cases. Assignment Details

  • Start Date: January 1, 2025
  • Schedule: Flexible scheduling with 12-hour (7:00 am - 7:00 pm) or 24-hour (7:00 am - 7:00 am) shifts
  • Holiday Coverage: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Compensation and Travel

  • Hourly Rate: $120 - $160 per hour

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting, attending deliveries and managing neonatal cases.
Offer unit-based support and manage patients on the NNP service, performing all necessary procedures.
Collaborate with neonatal physicians for daily patient check-ins, ensuring coordinated and high-quality neonatal care.
Document care thoroughly in the Epic EMR system.
Utilize on-site office spaces available for both daytime and after-hours work.

Qualifications

Active Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification with current NRP certification.
Experience in a high-delivery volume, Level III NICU environment preferred.
Proficiency with Epic EMR.
Availability to work 12-hour (7:00 am - 7:00 pm) or 24-hour shifts (7:00 am - 7:00 am), depending on facility needs.
