Nurse Practitioner – Neonatal (NNP) - Honoloulu

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide comprehensive care for a diverse group of infants, ranging from normal to high-risk. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicians to manage neonatal cases, advocate for patients and families, coordinate care, and provide critical support during emergencies. Your expertise will ensure the best outcomes for neonatal patients through meticulous planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Interpret antenatal/perinatal health history and assess gestational age.
• Resuscitation and Procedures: Perform neonatal resuscitation, including intubation, cardiac compressions, and emergency medication administration.
• Examinations and Diagnostics: Conduct physical exams, interpret lab tests, and prescribe appropriate therapies.
• Neonatal Care: Manage high-risk procedures, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with attending physicians.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough records of patient care, including admission histories, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Education and Standards: Develop and implement protocols, stay current with neonatal care standards, and provide educational support to staff.
• Resource Management: Ensure cost-effective use of resources and participate in quality improvement programs.
• Direct Patient Care: Provide hands-on care as needed to maintain clinical expertise and support patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in neonatal care.
• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN).
• Current Registered Nurse License and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License in Hawaii.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire.
• Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:

• Salary: $129,100 – $166,980
