Job Posting: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Coverage Type: Scheduled hours plus call

Schedule:

• Shift Options: 12-hour and 24-hour shifts
• Typical Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
• Could be a mix of days, nights, and weekends; night shifts are a priority

Work Details:

• Support Staff: Attending physician available from 8 AM to 4 PM, then on call if needed
• Patients per Shift: 7
• Patient Population/Age: 26 weeks gestation and higher
• Department Description: Level 3 NICU
• Required Skills:
  • Intubation
  • Lumbar puncture
  • Chest tube placement
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Neonatal resuscitation
  • Attending all high-risk deliveries
  • Rounding in the NICU

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Yes
• License: Active Connecticut (CT) License required
• Certifications: NRP certification required

Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60 days
