Nurse Practitioner - NICU

Summary:

Seeking a Nurse Practitioner - NICU to join a hospital in San Francisco. The children's hospital in has a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) devoted to providing the most advanced care available to critically ill infants. As a certified level IV regional NICUs, we are capable of providing all levels of newborn care, from basic to most intensive, and draw patients from across the region.

The neonatal heart program is one of the largest in the country, treating almost 200 newborns with heart disease each year. The ICN is a Regional Intensive Care Nursery and works with a network of 24 hospitals in Northern California to provide neonatology care.

Schedule: This is a .9 position. 12-hour shift. Days, evenings, nights, rotating, weekends, holidays.

Required Qualifications:

  • NNP-BC certification.
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner specialization.
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent Neonate NP experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or recent completion of a Neonatal ICU Fellowship.

License/Certification:

  • California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position.
  • Current national certification
  • Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.
  • Complete a BRN recognized graduate master’s degree program as a nurse practitioner.
  • Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).
  • Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments.
  • Hold current AHA BLS.
  • Hold current AHA NRP.
  • State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.
  • Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner

Compensation:

  • Base Salary - USD $178,524 to $233,020
