Nurse Practitioner – Neonatal (NNP) Opportunity in Honolulu

Job Summary: As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive care for infants, from normal to high-risk. Collaborating with physicians, you will manage cases, advocate for patients, coordinate pre- and post-operative care, and provide critical support during emergencies. Your responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and performing technical procedures to ensure optimal neonatal care.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assess antenatal/perinatal health history and gestational age.
  • Perform newborn resuscitations and specialized procedures, including intubation, catheterization, and sepsis work-ups.
  • Conduct physical exams and evaluations in various neonatal units.
  • Order and interpret lab tests, radiographs, and diagnostics.
  • Prescribe treatments such as phototherapy, antimicrobial therapy, and nutrition.
  • Make rounds, evaluate patient progress, and develop care plans.
  • Document medical histories, procedures, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians on treatment plans.
  • Develop and update standards, procedures, and protocols for neonatal care.
  • Provide educational programs for staff and support quality improvement activities.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and maintain current knowledge in neonatal care.
  • Utilize cost-effective resources and participate in hospital committees for planning and policy development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in neonatal care.
  • MSN degree.
  • Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Availability for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $129,100 – $166,980
