Belmont, North Carolina, Neonatologist Nurse Practitioner Job
- Clinical Role:
- This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year
- An average daily census of about 5 newborns
- 24-hour shifts: rounding on newborns in-house during the day and then take call from home
- NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested and will take call from home
- Practitioners would also stabilize, manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher level care
- Team will consist of 4 NNPs with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 Neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care, which is only 7 miles away
- Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the level III NICU in Gastonia may be possible; but would not be required, as this position is for the Level 1 nursery
- Located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, which has non-stop flights to over 180 destinations
- Recognized with numerous awards, including being named one of Thomson Reuters’ Top 100 Hospital
- Candidates must be NNP Board Certified (cannot accept FNP, PNP, or any other NP certifications)
- Not accepting new graduate candidates - 2+ years' experience as NNP required
