We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team in New York City. In this crucial role, you will provide high-quality care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and positive childbirth experience for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of pregnant patients, including histories, physical examinations, and fetal monitoring.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in labor, coordinating with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage labor progression and assist with delivery, including performing procedures as needed (e.g., episiotomies, suturing).
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor, identifying and responding to complications promptly.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and improve clinical practices.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with a solid understanding of obstetric care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and support for patients.
  • Previous experience in Labor & Delivery or a related field is preferred.
