Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

This opportunity allows Nurse Practitioners to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in a supportive and patient-focused environment. Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and submit reports post-exams, including addendums.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
• Coordinate with Veterans and ensure a supportive experience throughout their assessments.
• Complete required training and participate in ongoing education to stay current in the field.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Possess a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) for documentation and reporting.
• AANP certification is required.
• Active and unrestricted nurse practitioner license in Louisiana.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Submit a current CV with a home address for presentation requirements.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active full license as a Nurse Practitioner in Louisiana.
• AANP certification is mandatory.
