Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine (Minnesota)

Join a dedicated team committed to serving our nation's Veterans. This position involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in a supportive environment tailored for healthcare professionals. We seek General Medicine Providers for PRN roles to contribute to the well-being of those who served.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Submit standardized Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires within 48 hours post-exam completion.
• Complete record reviews and follow-up administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions.
• Utilize personal laptop for evaluations (NO MACs) and adhere to the online portal requirements.
• Engage in ongoing training, including DMA certification, to maintain and enhance competency.
• Option to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must possess an AANP certification.
• Active and unrestricted full license in Minnesota.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery is a plus.
• Own a personal laptop (exclusions apply to Mac/Apple products).
• Committed to completing DMA training for certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted license to practice in Minnesota.
• American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification.
• DMA training completion required for certification, with some pre-certification documentation necessary.
