Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team making a difference for our nation's Veterans while practicing in beautiful Montana! This opportunity allows Nurse Practitioners to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in various locations. As a provider, you'll work closely with Veterans through an essential service in a supportive environment. Ideal candidates will have their own practice space and a commitment to excellence in care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct Compensation & Pension examinations and Separation Health Assessments.
• Perform interviews and physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Submit Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours of the exam.
• Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
• Complete evaluations in the provider portal and follow up with necessary administrative tasks.
• Utilize a goniometer and have a solid understanding of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory conditions.
• Provide both half-day and full-day sessions, catering to flexibility in scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in METs testing, and evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Current AANP certification is required.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Montana.
• Own a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Strong understanding of general medicine principles.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Montana (MT).
• AANP certification.
• DMA certification must be obtained once privileged; not reimbursed.
