Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine

Veering into a fulfilling career? We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Work with Veterans Evaluation Services, a contractor committed to serving our nation's veterans. This position offers flexibility across various locations in beautiful Nevada, allowing you to work in your own practice or travel to leased facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Submit all exam reports and Notice of Examination forms within 48 hours of completing the assessment.
• Maintain accurate medical records and administrative follow-up, including addendums and medical opinions.
• Attend training sessions for reporting and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
• Evaluate and diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions using METs testing.
• Utilize provided training materials to ensure proficiency in required skills.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Nevada.
• Board Certification from a recognized body.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Proficient in evaluating and diagnosing medical conditions particularly related to musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular specialties.
• Must possess a personal laptop (no Macs allowed).
• Willingness to complete DMA training and become DMA certified.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Nevada.
• AANP Certification or equivalent.
• Proof of completion of DMA training (if applicable).
