Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine (New York)

Join a dedicated team providing essential healthcare services for our nation's veterans. This opportunity allows you to perform Compensation & Pension exams along with Separation Health Assessments in convenient locations within New York State. Applicants should have their own office and be ready to serve in Ithaca and Trumansburg.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessment, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Utilize your own office for scheduling examinations or travel to VES leased facilities.
• Complete standardized forms and submit Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires within 48 hours of the exam.
• Maintain accurate records and manage follow-up administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions.
• Participate in training for Reporting/DBQs and use Goniometer as needed.
• Qualified providers may be asked to travel to assist with cases in other areas.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing, evaluation, and diagnosis of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must own a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Active, unrestricted full license in New York.
• AANP certification mandatory.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Current CV should include home address for presentation purposes.

License and Certification Requirements:

• New York State Nurse Practitioner License.
• AANP Certification.
• DMA certification to be obtained upon completion of initial training, if not already certified.
