Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Title: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team of General Medicine Providers in Oregon as we serve our nation's Veterans through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This position offers flexible per diem opportunities, allowing you to choose from various locations, including Bend, The Dalles, Brookings, and Tillamook, and is ideal for those who have their own office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and submit within 48 hours of exam completion.
• Engage in follow-up administrative tasks, including addendums and medical opinions.
• Utilize a personal laptop (no Macs) for documentation and reporting in the provider portal.
• Familiarize yourself with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular health evaluations.
• Attend training for Reporting/DBQs and DMA certification, if not already completed.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Oregon.
• Certification through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must own a personal laptop (non-Mac).
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current active and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Oregon.
• Certification with AANP.
• Must provide ECFMG certificate if applicable.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
