Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in South Dakota

Our facility is currently seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a PRN basis, with the flexibility to accommodate your schedule.

This locum position allows you to work from your own office or travel to perform exams at VES facilities, primarily focusing on interviews and physical assessments. Training is provided for all necessary reporting and questionnaires, ensuring you are well-equipped for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct Compensation & Pension exams for veterans.
• Perform Separation Health Assessments.
• Utilize a Goniometer for physical assessments.
• Complete evaluations and submit standardized forms within 48 hours of exam completion.
• Participate in administrative follow-up work, including addendums and medical opinions.
• Provide excellent patient-centered care while following established guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Current AANP certification.
• Active and unrestricted full licensure in South Dakota.
• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Experience in general medicine or related specialties (e.g., family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery).
• Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardio cases preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a flexible schedule.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in South Dakota.
• AANP certification required.
• Must be willing to obtain DMA certification (training provided).
• Own a functional laptop (NO Apple/Mac products).
