Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Overview: Join a dedicated team of General Medicine Providers who perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the nation. This role is designed for professionals who are committed to serving our nation's Veterans through thorough medical evaluations. Ideal candidates will have the flexibility of working both in a facility and their private practice, provided it is within a reasonable distance of the required locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Document exam findings and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure comprehensive care for Veterans.
- Complete ongoing training and maintain active certification.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must possess a full, active, and unrestricted license to practice.
- Must hold certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Must have a personal office to see Veterans, if required.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Virginia state license (compact license accepted).
- Certification from the AANP.
