Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team providing essential care to our nation's Veterans in beautiful Orange County, Wisconsin. We are seeking General Medicine Nurse Practitioners to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This role allows you to utilize your expertise while contributing to a noble cause in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform one-time compensation and pension evaluations and separation health assessments.
• Conduct primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete assessments using a standardized form with no narrative report required.
• Ensure all reporting and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) are submitted within 48 hours of exam completion.
• Participate in administrative follow-up, including addendums, medical opinions, and reviewing diagnostics.
• Train and utilize reporting tools relevant to the evaluations and assessments.
• Optional travel to other facilities based on need.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Ownership of a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active and unrestricted full license in Wisconsin.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve DMA certification.
• Current CV must list home address.
• ECFMG certificate required if graduated from an international medical school.

Licenses and Certification Requirements

• Must hold an active Nurse Practitioner license in Wisconsin.
• Current board certification from the AANP or equivalent.
• Completed DMA training is required to become certified.
