Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join our dynamic healthcare practice in West Virginia as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine! You'll be integral in conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews and perform physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams without prescribing medications.
• Submit Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours of exam completion.
• Conduct record reviews and follow up on administrative tasks such as addendums and medical opinions.
• Utilize Goniometers and assess conditions related to the musculoskeletal system, diabetes, and cardiovascular health.
• Participate in provided training and complete required DMA certifications.
• Be available for administrative duties related to scheduling and exam performance.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Active and unrestricted full license to practice in West Virginia.
• Completion of the AANP certification.
• Possess a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Current CV with a listed home address.
• Experience in general medicine or related fields.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in West Virginia.
• AANP certification.
• DMA certification (to be completed upon hiring).
