Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Exciting Opportunity for Nurse Practitioners in Houston, Ohio!

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments, primarily through interviews with the veterans.
• Perform physical assessments including range of motion testing and muscle strength evaluation.
• Document evaluations promptly in VES's provider portal, ensuring submission of Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours.
• Carry out follow-up administrative work, including addendums, medical opinions, and reviewing diagnostics.
• Utilize provided training for Reporting/DBQs and be proficient in METs testing and diagnosing various health conditions.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active and unrestricted full license in Ohio.
• Proficient in evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must have access to a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become certified.
• Relevant experience in general medicine or specialties such as family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Ohio.
• Active certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Copy of ECFMG certificate required if graduated from an international medical school.
