Locum - Internal Medicine - NP

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team working to serve our nation's Veterans in Houston, PA! We are seeking General Medicine Nurse Practitioners to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This position is perfect for those looking to make a tangible difference in the lives of Veterans while working in a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interview-based evaluations with physical assessment components, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Utilize Goniometer and METs testing while evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
• Complete Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and submit evaluations within 48 hours.
• Review medical records as required and perform follow-up administrative work.
• Work independently or travel to perform exams at leased facilities.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification and active, unrestricted full license in Pennsylvania.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Proficient in respiratory and cardiovascular evaluations.
• Must have a personal laptop (no Mac or Apple products).
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills; enthusiasm for working with Veterans.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania nursing license.
• Board Certification from an accredited nursing organization (e.g., AANP).
• DMA Certification upon completion of training.
