Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This position is focused on providing medical care to patients at a mental health hospital. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with a team of physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being of our patients

Pay: Up to $150,000.00 per year

Job Responsibilities
Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness and potential side effects
Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to develop treatment plans
Provide patient education regarding their medical conditions and treatment options
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with hospital policies and relevant regulations
Collaborates with physicians to ensure efficiency in patient care.
Promote customer service.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner degree plan.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license, active and in good standing.
Current certification in BLS.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
A minimum of two years’ experience in a nurse practitioner role is preferred.
Critical care experience preferred.
Effective leadership, teaching, research, and communication skills are required.
Advanced physical assessment and critical thinking skills are required.
Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments is required.
Ability to assess medical conditions and interpret findings required.
