Full-Time Outpatient Vascular Center- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Under the direction of the physician, the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant employs professional standards of care in compliance with state statutes. The NP/PA will provide quality of care to all our patients while overseeing, executing, managing and caring for our patients during their appointment.
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care services for vascular patients and assists the team where needed for a successful flow of daily operations.
The NP/PA performs physical exams, collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies, completes professional consultations, prescribes appropriate interventions and medications, coordinates the care and discharge of the patients, performs vein procedures, assists with procedures and provides direct patient care services. The NP/PA contributes to excellence in patient care, teaching and educating the patient, staff and provides leadership to the organization.
Job Responsibilities
Provides and coordinates care for our patients seen in the office.
Evaluate non-invasive test results which could lead to a more complex procedure.
Responsible to order labs, plan care in coordination with the physician either on-site or available via telephone. Maintain constant communication with the referring provider.
Ability to problem solve and work independently with little supervision.
Patient assessment, plan treatment, set priorities and realistic outcomes while collaborating with the physician.
Perform the following skills for consultation and evaluations: patient history, full physical exam, ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology and/or diagnostic results.
Documentation: Complete H&P and progress notes in EMR.
Develop patient care pathways, protocols and guidelines for the management of specific problems in conjunction with physician and other members of the health care team.
Analyze clinical practice patterns so as to provide the best medical care and to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Communicate verbally and in writing all pertinent patient information to clinical director and physician, staff, and referring provider.
Oversight of clinical staff within the center.
Provide psychosocial support to patients and family members seeking additional resources when appropriate. Collaborate with staff to assess the education needs of patients and their families.
Comply with all OSHA and HIPPA designated by state and federal regulations.
Attend all mandatory staff meeting, training, and in-services.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, mission/vision/goals and support all team members.
Administer and manage narcotics while caring for the patient during and post procedure, if needed.
Qualifications
NP license or PA license
Minimum three years experience (OR, ER, Cardiac Cath, Vascular preferred)
Certifications or Licensures current standing
CPR, ACLS, AND BLS
