We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our established, close-knit team of seven physicians, five APPs, and the support of a clinical performance nurse at Sierra Providence East.
  • Work along side clinicians with a wealth of knowledge in the internal medicine practice. Many of our clinicians have attended local programs during residency and greatly understand the needs of the community of El Paso.
  • We enjoy engaging with our hospital partners in various committees such as trauma, cardiology, sepsis, code blue, patient experience, and hospital throughput, to name a few, to provide quality outcomes for our patients together. Our hospital partners are integral to our team, and we enjoy collaborating regularly.
  • The team convenes monthly for team meetings to discuss important topics and provide educational opportunities that help improve our quality of care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  • Board-certified/eligible nurse practitioners.
  • Active NP license or eligible to become licensed in Texas.
Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling:

  • Nocturnist schedule is 7 on/7 off, 7 pm-7 am.
  • Recognizing the importance of family and spending time outdoors, we offer a flexible schedule. We’re always there to support each other when covering shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • We welcome the challenge of complex cases, working in a semi-open ICU with intensivist coverage during the day and E-ICU coverage at night. Our team is not expected to do procedures, but we play a key role in the code blue team.
  • For those who like to teach, we work with medical students, APPs, and residents from Sierra East Campus, which is part of Burrell College of Medicine and the University of Texas at El Paso programs.
