About the Role
- Full-service hospitalist practice at University of Maryland (UM) Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen
- Part of the University of Maryland Medical System
- University hospital with excellent specialty support
- Average 15 patients/day
- Closed ICU, our team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes
- Staffing Model: 23 providers; 12 physicians/11 APPs
- EMR: EPIC
- Beds 257
- Trauma Level – Level II
- Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- Responsibilities include providing acute inpatient care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge. Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners work side by side with our physicians as clinical colleagues.
